Omar returned to Karachi to choreograph three sections of the Fifth Anniversary of the LSA’s in 2006. Omar choreographed the opening ceremony featuring contemporary modern dance. He also choreographed a dance medley to the updated orchestration by composer/arranger Shuja Haider of Pakistan’s hugely popular 60’s actress and playback singer Runa Laila. This section featured a diverse cast, but highlighted Lollywood actress Meera. Omar also choreographed a Broadway-style dance musical based on the music of iconic Nazia and Zoheb Hassan. The cast featured rising stars of Pakistan including Ali Kazmi and Anoushey Ashraf. Omar’s work was well-received -- the News, Pakistan’s most widely read English Daily declared, “It’s a great time for Omar Rahim. Pakistan is finally ready for him now.”
